Scroll down to view the pictures that tell the story of my childhood. I've included maps as well. The red arrow marks the place where we lived. For a description of the photo, hold the mouse over the picture and text will appear. Click on the photo for a larger image.
Celebrating my birthday the way the Indians did, with cake and forks and a sister in a Hawaiian islander hat.
Mom and my cousins playing ring around the rosie. I'm the one in the cowboy outfit with my back to the camera.
from left to right, Nina, Angie, baby Erik, Dad and me!
Me, Nina and my cowboy Grandpa, Grandpa Tanner holding baby Angie
I think Nina is having a staring contest with the pumpkin. She was determined!
"I'm real, aren't I grandma?!" My Grandma Tanner made this outfit for me and I loved it!
Wearing my "woo-woo" for my birthday party at the Hansen's. Uncle Danny is behind me.
My first day of school. i have my "wolf skin" blanket for nap time. We arrived just as school was dismissed for the day. THE BEST SCHOOL DAY EVER!

We went to many a shotgun wedding and festival with the hippies where I dazzled everyone with my expert yo-yo'ing skills!
My Uncle Randy, the famous bull rider and monkey brain eater with always a great attitude and my Grandpa Tanner.
I am on the far left next to my cousin Mike who is two years younger than me and bigger than I am. To the far right is my cousin Andy who was the size of a grown man at age 14. Andy is younger than me and I wore many of his slightly worn clothes that he'd grow out of so quickly.
Me and my cousin. If I seem tense in the picture, I was. Mack was never at a loss for death-defying stunts and you didn't want to be too close if it went wrong.
The "mouse house" in Idaho where I went on a killing rampage with my sisters baton.
Dad's 39th birthday. Mom looks especially happy and you can see her homemade macrame behind us.
Bedtime. I always especially liked that picture of Jesus on the wall behind us.
Erik always took the best pictures because he was always animated. He's cool like that!
Nina, Dad, Jesse and Levi in Idaho.
Nina and I are on bikes, Angie, Erik are on Big Wheels and little Levi is on a mini-hot wheel. Our van is in the upper left hand corner of the picture.

This picture was taken as we traveled over Christmas break from Idaho to Minnesota, a trip we made many, many times during my childhood.
